A Night Out

It is nice to have at least one night out, if it can be managed. Tonight was my discernment meeting. A place to rediscover my purpose and my sense of self beyond motherhood. Fortunately, it is with a group of people who are compassionate and understanding.

It can sometimes feel like one is trapped or consumed by motherhood. Other times it feels like the most wonderful thing to ever have happened. The later is what today was all about, which made the going out all the more pleasant.

Nap Time

My daughter takes one nap a day, typically around noon for one to two hours. I'm never sure exactly how long it will be, but I can sometimes still accomplish something. Today. . . a new blog.

I love to write, fiction mostly. However, it can be difficult with a young one around to find an opportune time. So maybe this is it. Of course some days, I need to take a nap myself. So as with all things, it is a work in progress!
